LANGUAGES
The
official languages of the
congress are English, Italian,
Spanish, French and German.
Oral presentation can be
made in any of the official
languages. Posters and slide
presentation in Power Point
must be in English.
GUIDELINES
FOR PRESENTING AUTHORS
ORAL
PRESENTATIONS
Acceptable
formats for Presentations
are: Microsoft Power Point
1997 - 2003.
Later versions of Office
are NOT accepted.
The oral session meeting
room is equipped with the
following audiovisual equipment:
- Power Point Slide projector
- Computer (Windows-based
PC)
- 1 Screen
The computer in the oral
session room is provided
to accommodate Windows-based
PC users. The PC will be
configured with Microsoft
Windows XP Professional
and Microsoft Office 2003.
We recommend you bring at
least two copies of your
presentation to the meeting
in case there is a problem
with one.
The meeting hall is NOT
equipped for videotape or
DVD projection.
ALL speakers are required
to check into the Speaker
Ready Room to upload their
presentation at least 4
hours before their session.
The Speaker Ready Room is
located in the Department
of Botanical Sciences (entrance
opposite Faculty of Economics,
please ask our staff for
directions). Those presenting
on Monday, 22 June must
check in between 0830h-1030h.
The file will then be transferred
to the computer network
at the meeting. When the
presentation is to be given,
the file will be loaded
on the computer in the oral
session room. Once the presentation
has started, the speaker
will control the program
using a computer mouse.
Personal laptops cannot
be used in meeting rooms
while giving your oral presentation.
You must upload your visuals
from the Speaker Ready Room.
Speaker Ready Room personnel
are not responsible for
your devices, i.e., memory
cards, disks, laptops, etc.
Be considerate of other
speakers and the audience
by staying within your allotted
time (20 minutes for invited
presentations and 10 minutes
for proposed presentations).
The discussion will take
place at the end of each
session. Session chairpersons
will hold you to the allotted
time. This is essential
to ensure adequate time
for questions and discussion
as well as adherence to
schedule.
POSTER
PRESENTATION
Poster
sessions are located in
the Botanical Gardens (entrance
opposite Faculty of Economics).
Presenters are responsible
for bringing, placing and
removing their posters.
To locate your assigned
poster board, search for
the board marked with your
paper number. Paper numbers
are provided in a list sent
to all Corresponding Authors,
as well as in the Book of
Abstracts. Please make sure
your paper number is clearly
visible on your poster board.
Each presenter is provided
with a 100cm. high by 70cm.
wide poster board (usable
work area, frame excluded).
Audiovisual equipment is
not provided for poster
sessions.
All posters should be placed
not later than Monday 22nd
between 0800h and 1000h
and should remain up until
1530h on Wednesday 24th.
Posters
left on display after the
day/time noted above will
be discarded.
Presenters must be available
for at least 1 hour between
1430h and 1600h for Monday
and Tuesday poster sessions
and between 1430h and 1530h
for Wednesday poster session.
Adhesive tape will be available
for the Poster presenters'
use. However, if you have
special needs for your poster
presentation, bring those
supplies with you to the
meeting.
Posters must be removed
on the day allocated above.
Posters remaining after
this time will be discarded.
The organizing secretariat
cannot be responsible for
posters and materials left
on poster boards after the
stated hours.
